Pricing

The price is the price.

We do not bill insurance, which means there are no copays, no deductibles, no claims, no prior authorizations, and no bill arriving three months later for an amount nobody warned you about. You pay one monthly fee for care, and you pay your pharmacy and lab directly for medication and testing.

Where the rest of your money goes

We receive no payment, rebate, commission, or other remuneration from any pharmacy, laboratory, or pharmaceutical manufacturer, and we hold no ownership interest in any of them. What you pay them, you pay them.

Laboratory panels

  • Metabolic baseline (Hemoglobin A1c, Comprehensive metabolic panel, Lipid panel, TSH)$89
  • Cardiometabolic add-on (hs-CRP, Apolipoprotein B, Uric acid)$79
  • Thyroid panel (TSH, Free T4, Free T3)$69

Medication

Purchased from the pharmacy of your choice. Brand GLP-1 medications are expensive without insurance coverage — commonly several hundred dollars per month or more, depending on the product, dose, pharmacy, and any manufacturer savings program you qualify for. Most primary care medications are generic and comparatively inexpensive. We will give you a realistic range for your specific plan before you pay us anything.

Your Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, every self-pay patient is entitled to a written estimate of expected charges before receiving care. Because we accept no insurance, that is every single one of our patients. Here is a real example.

Sample Good Faith Estimate

Weight Management + baseline metabolic panel

ItemQtyAmount
Weight Management membership — first month (includes initial video visit and follow-up care)CPT 992031$149
Weight Management membership — recurring monthly charge (estimate shown for the next 11 months; cancel any time)11$149

  • This Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs. It is an estimate; actual items, services, or charges may differ.
  • This estimate does not include the cost of any medication. Medications are dispensed by an independent pharmacy and paid for directly by you. Prices vary by pharmacy, product, and any manufacturer savings program you may qualify for.
  • Laboratory services are provided and billed by an independent laboratory.
  • This estimate is not a contract and does not require you to obtain any of the listed items or services.
  • You have the right to initiate a patient–provider dispute resolution process if you are billed at least $400 more than this Good Faith Estimate. Starting the dispute process will not affect the quality of your health care.
  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Billing terms

Cancellation, refunds, and renewal

Cancel in two clicks

Your membership renews monthly until you cancel. Cancellation lives on your account page — two clicks, no phone call, no retention script, no fee. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Full refund if you are not eligible

If your clinician determines at or before your first visit that we cannot treat you, you are refunded in full.

Cancelling is not the same as stopping treatment

Do not stop anti-obesity medication abruptly without telling your clinician. Message us first so we can taper you safely or transfer your care.

We will never raise your price quietly

Any price change is emailed to you with enough notice to cancel before it takes effect.

Payment questions

Why don't you take insurance?

Billing insurance requires coding for reimbursement, prior authorizations, denials management, and a billing staff — costs that get passed to you and time that gets taken from your visit. Cash-pay lets us publish one price and spend the visit on medicine. The trade-off is real: you pay out of pocket, and we are honest about that.

Can I use HSA or FSA funds?

Medical care from a licensed clinician is generally a qualified medical expense. We provide itemized receipts suitable for substantiation. Confirm with your plan administrator.

Will you give me a superbill to submit to my insurer?

Yes, on request. Whether your insurer reimburses any of it is between you and them, and we make no representation that they will.

What if I am billed more than my Good Faith Estimate?

If your billed charges exceed the estimate by $400 or more, you may initiate the federal patient–provider dispute resolution process. Using it will not affect your care in any way.

What payment methods do you accept?

Major credit and debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards, processed through a PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor. We never store your full card number on our systems.
